An especially BIG thank you to all of the volunteers who worked so hard to make the Fish Fry happen. From preparing and serving the food to keeping everything running smoothly, so much time and effort goes into making this event such a success. We appreciate every one of you! Thank you as well to all of the generous businesses, families, and individuals who donated prizes and contributed in so many ways. aboutDelicious golden fried catfish and all the trimmings are served up every year on the Saturday before Labor Day at the Doss Fire Station. The Fish Fry is the fire department's annual fund raiser and has become a tradition for many families near and far. The event draws crowds of two to three thousand people each year.
The meal is available on a donation basis and includes delicious American-raised fried catfish, along with sides like potato salad and beans. We've got refreshing drinks, homemade desserts, and even cold keg beer served while you wait in line. You can also participate in our raffle with a chance to win one of many generous prizes throughout the event. Additionally, we offer a variety of t-shirts and other fish fry memorabilia for sale. We do not accept credit cards at the fish fry at this time. Note: We cannot allow pets on the fish fry grounds due to liability. We happily welcome service animals. |
